The constraint is not the runway — it is the apron. Dedicated general aviation parking at DPS is limited, and during peak periods the airport may approve a landing but restrict how long the aircraft can remain on the ground, sometimes requiring a reposition to another airport between drop-off and pick-up. In practice the sequence looks like this: the handling team meets the aircraft at its parking stand, collects passports, and processes entry formalities while passengers wait in a lounge or, in many cases, move almost directly to their ground transport. Luggage is screened and delivered to the vehicles without passengers touching a trolley.
A few practical notes for 2026:
- Most nationalities can use Indonesia’s visa on arrival, and the electronic version (e-VOA) can be completed before departure. We recommend pre-arranging it so no payment step happens at the airport — visa assistance is part of standard arrival coordination.

Jet Terminal to Ubud: Helicopter or Escorted Car?
Ubud sits about 35 kilometres north of the airport, but distance is not the issue — traffic is. By road the journey runs anywhere from 90 minutes to two and a half hours depending on the time of day. This final leg is where a private jet to Bali either stays seamless or quietly unravels, so it deserves the same planning discipline as the flight itself.
Option one: helicopter transfer
A helicopter covers the airport-to-Ubud leg in roughly 15 minutes of flying.
