Private Chef, Nanny & Villa Staffing in Bali

Yes, you can book a Bali villa with a chef and nanny through one operator. Groceries are included if you wish, every staff member is vetted and trained by our own team, and a single personal manager stays on call from the day you land to the day you fly home. Bali Luxury Concierge is the first end-to-end concierge platform in Bali. We run our own cars, our own villas and our own cruise ships, so we staff villas the way an owner would: with people we know, test and stand behind. Send us your dates, your villa and the ages of your children, and a tailored staffing quote will be with you within 24 hours.

What does an all-inclusive staffed villa actually include?

Many guests ask us the same thing in different words: can I book an all-inclusive staffed villa with groceries, so I never have to think about shopping, cooking or washing up? You can, and it works like this. Your chef agrees the menus with you before you arrive. He or she shops every morning, cooks every meal you want at home, and leaves the kitchen spotless. The grocery budget is agreed upfront in US dollars, so there are no surprise receipts at checkout. Housekeeping runs daily. Your personal manager checks in each morning on WhatsApp and adjusts whatever needs adjusting.

Most rental villas in Bali offer basic housekeeping and little more. The chef, the nanny, the driver and the security are left for you to find on arrival, from strangers. We close that gap with one phone number.

Which staffing tier fits your stay?

Three tiers cover almost every household we serve. Each is quoted individually, because a villa for two in Uluwatu and a family compound in Canggu need very different teams.

Tier 1: Private chef only

A dedicated chef comes to your villa for breakfast and dinner, or stays through the day. You may shop yourself, or hand the chef a grocery allowance and receive the receipts. This tier suits couples who eat out often but want slow mornings at home. Honeymoon couples usually add one candlelit dinner on the terrace; our Bali concierge for honeymoon couples arranges it with flowers, a private waiter and a set menu.

Tier 2: Chef with groceries, all-inclusive

Our most requested plan. Menus are agreed before arrival, the shopping is done for you, dietary needs are built into every dish, and the kitchen is deep-cleaned daily. Fresh produce arrives through our cold-chain suppliers, not from whichever stall happened to be nearest. You eat what you love, when you want it, and the final bill holds no surprises. Your quote is tailored to group size and menu style and confirmed within 24 hours.

Tier 3: The full brigade

Chef, certified nanny, butler, housekeeper, chauffeur, and a security officer where wanted. This is the tier for larger families, multi-generation trips and guests who value complete privacy. As a guide for planning, our combined villa, car and tour arrangements start from USD 500 per day (as of August 2026). Full staffing is always a tailored quote, with a detailed proposal in your inbox within 24 hours.

What will your private chef cook? Three sample menus

Our chefs come from hotel and cruise kitchens and cook across cuisines. The menus below are examples from real villa weeks; every dish adapts to allergies, halal requirements, vegetarian tables and children’s plates.

Indonesian heritage

  • Breakfast: bubur ayam with crisp shallots, or a tropical fruit platter with young coconut
  • Lunch: Jimbaran-style grilled snapper, urap vegetables, sambal matah
  • Dinner: slow-cooked beef rendang, sate lilit, black rice pudding with coconut cream

Mediterranean

  • Breakfast: shakshuka with warm flatbread and labneh
  • Lunch: grilled octopus, fattoush, lemon and herb chicken skewers
  • Dinner: slow-roasted lamb shoulder, saffron rice, orange and almond cake

Japanese-inspired

  • Breakfast: tamagoyaki, grilled salmon, miso soup and steamed rice
  • Lunch: chirashi bowl with sashimi-grade tuna and house pickles
  • Dinner: wagyu striploin from the plancha, seasonal tempura, matcha ice cream

How do we keep food safe in a private villa kitchen?

Food safety is the question we hear most from parents and from guests with allergies, and it deserves a straight answer. Every private villa chef we place works to the same written protocol:

  • Training to HACCP-based hygiene standards, refreshed every year
  • A cold chain with temperature checks from supplier to villa fridge
  • Named suppliers only: highland organic farms around Bedugul, certified butchers, and sashimi-grade fish landed daily at Jimbaran
  • A written allergy briefing before arrival, with separate boards, pans and storage for allergen-free cooking
  • Sealed drinking water and ice from audited sources, never from the tap

These are the same standards our galley teams keep at sea on our own cruise fleet, where a mistake has no easy fix. Your villa kitchen is run with the same discipline.

Who looks after your children?

Every nanny we place is background-checked, has references we have verified in person, and holds a current paediatric first-aid certificate. All speak clear English; Mandarin, Japanese and Russian speakers are available on request. We keep the ratio at one nanny to two young children, and for infants we assign nannies with newborn experience. Daytime care covers the pool, the beach and outings; in the evening, your nanny stays on so the two of you can take a table at one of the island’s fine dining rooms while the children sleep at home.

Families who fall for the island often keep the same nanny long after the holiday ends. Our relocation service arranges long-term contracts, school search and permanent household hiring for those who decide to stay.

Bali concierge vs hotel concierge: what is the difference?

A hotel concierge serves several hundred rooms from a desk in the lobby. Your personal manager serves one household: yours. The service follows you from the villa to the restaurant to the boat, and it remembers what you liked last time.

Between requests you have a Bali virtual concierge for villa guests on WhatsApp, 24 hours a day, answered by a person rather than a chatbot. You can book Bali concierge online before you fly, so the chef, the nanny and the car are confirmed before your first morning. Guests who return each year join our Bali concierge membership program for priority staffing in peak season. And our Bali concierge for celebrities and public figures works under NDA: staff are briefed on discretion, no photographs are taken, and no names are mentioned to suppliers.

What else can your personal manager arrange?

Villa staffing is usually where the relationship begins. Once the household runs itself, guests hand us the rest of the list:

  • A Bali personal shopper concierge for the boutiques of Seminyak and the workshops of Ubud
  • Bali country club membership access, reserved tee times and padel courts
  • Bali auction representation concierge for art, watches and property
  • Bali royal palace access arrangements for cultural audiences and temple ceremonies
  • A Bali philanthropic visits concierge for schools and marine projects, and for families planning further ahead, a Bali philanthropic legacy via foundations registered in Indonesia
  • For investors: Bali bank account opening assistance, introductions to counsel and Bali site visits for hospitality funds through our investment and business concierge
  • For production teams: Bali local crew sourcing for shoots, permits and locations

Arriving by jet? Our private jet and aviation concierge looks after handling and catering at Denpasar, and our VIP airport fast-track (from USD 160) walks you from the aircraft door to your waiting car in minutes.

Frequently asked questions

How far in advance should I book a chef and nanny?

Seven to fourteen days is comfortable for most dates. For July, August and the Christmas and New Year weeks, ask three to four weeks ahead. Because our staff are in-house rather than borrowed from agencies, we can often solve last-minute requests too; ask, and we will tell you honestly what is possible.

Can the chef manage allergies and special diets?

Yes. You complete a short allergy and preference briefing before arrival, and the chef cooks to it with separate boards, pans and storage. Nut-free, gluten-free, halal, kosher-style and children’s menus are all routine for our kitchens.

Are your nannies certified?

Every nanny holds a current paediatric first-aid certificate, has a completed background check and carries references we have verified in person. Infant specialists with newborn experience are available on request.

Are groceries really included?

In the all-inclusive tier, yes. We agree a grocery budget with you in US dollars before arrival, the chef shops within it, and the account is reconciled transparently at the end of your stay. Wine and imported spirits are quoted separately so you stay in control.
